I have an 8:25 AM reservation at Crystal Palace on 4/27, and am also staying at a Disney resort. What is the earliest time I would be able to access the park & Main Street to get photos and coffee before breakfast?

    Hey Kevin,

Welcome to planDisney! You’re on your way to Walt Disney World! I might be a little jealous, but I’m so happy for you. Having a breakfast reservation at The Crystal Palace is icing on the cake. You’ll get to meet several of Christopher Robin’s friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Winnie the Pooh and Friends will be so happy to meet you while you enjoy a whimsical all-you-care-to-enjoy breakfast. Did you know that The Crystal Palace is usually the only place in Disney World where you can find churro Mickey waffles? These delicious Mickey Mouse-shaped delicacies are worthy of at least two rounds at the buffet station. Yum!

Magic Kingdom opens for regular day guests at 9:00 a.m. on April 27th according to the Hours and Events Calendar. Guests of Disney resort hotels can enter at 8:30 a.m. thanks to their Early Entry benefit. Guests with early breakfast reservations are usually allowed to enter Magic Kingdom as early as around 8:00 a.m. to allow them time to reach their reservation destination. If you arrive early enough, you’ll definitely have a little time to get a few Cinderella Castle photos before your breakfast. Be sure to look for the separate entry area for guests with dining reservations - cast members will check your reservation details and allow you to enter.

One of the things I love the most about Magic Kingdom is the atmosphere. You’ll get to soak up the ragtime vibes and small town feeling that Main Street U.S.A. offers with little to no distraction from the majority of the day guests. How cool is that?

While you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, I hope you’ll get to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run. It’s one of my family’s favorite thrill rides. You’ll leave the real world behind and join Team Blue in a fast-paced quest across the grid. The attraction photos and videos from this one are out of this world, so be sure to check your My Disney Experience app after you ride! Bonus tip: you can't really bring much with you on TRON. Wear your MagicBand+ to access and unlock the complimentary lockers you’ll need to use to stash your belongings. If you don’t have one, cast members will be happy to give you a card key that you can use until you exit the attraction.

I hope this information is helpful, Kevin. If you need any additional planning help don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney and let us know. We’ll see ya real soon!
