Howdy, Sandra!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing this great question to us about your upcoming Walt Disney World visit. I’m a big fan of all things entertainment; it’s one of my most favorite aspects about visiting Disney Parks. Attractions are amazing too – don’t get me wrong. However, there’s something special about being at
Magic Kingdom and seeing your favorite Disney characters pass by and wave to you from a beautiful float. During a recent visit, I caught the
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade as it traveled through Frontierland and toward the end José Carioca noticed that I was wearing my Three Caballeros Minnie Mouse ear headband. He waved and used his hands to draw a heart toward me. It was so special, and there’s nothing that can quite replicate that feeling! The Disney characters love to see you just as much as you love to see them.
Disney World periodically changes the entertainment schedule at Magic Kingdom. Sometimes the schedule information isn’t fully released until a week or so prior to the dates you’re interested in. In my personal experience, it is best to check the
Day Calendar about a week before your arrival date to see the schedule for entertainment like parades. Set a reminder for yourself so that you don’t forget! I’m hoping you’ll get to see all three of the parades that are currently being offered this week: Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade (where you might see my buddy José),
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away.
Disney Starlight is Disney World’s newest nighttime parade and it’s a dazzling celebration of magical moments from some of our favorite Disney stories. It reminds me so much of my childhood visits watching the Main Street Electrical Parade as it is very much inspired by that classic experience. It’s a shimmering reminder that dreams do come true when you do as dreamers do and wish upon a star. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Sandra. We hope to see you again real soon!
