We have a reservation at chef mickeys on Saturday 7:50 AM. Are we able to park at Magic kingdom by 7:30 to ride the monorail to contemporary.

Hey, there, Yesenia! Welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the riverbend, so let's talk about getting to your early-morning breakfast. I can't think of a better way to start a Disney day than with Mickey and some delicious food.

According to the Monorail Transportation page, trains typically begin running about 30 minutes before Early Theme Park Entry. On Saturday, early entry is at 8:30 AM, so the monorail will start around 8:00 AM. Anecdotally, I've heard the Resort Monorail starts a bit earlier for guests at hotels on the loop, but since I can't guarantee you'll have access, let's look at some alternatives.

It sounds like you'll be driving, so one option is to park at Disney's Contemporary Resort by presenting your Chef Mickey's confirmation and ID. Guests with dining reservations can usually park at a resort for about 3 hours. If you plan to go to Magic Kingdom Park after breakfast, you'd drive to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), which is the parking lot for Magic Kingdom, and take the monorail or ferryboat to the park.

Another option is to take a rideshare to the Contemporary. The guard attendant will ask for your dining information, and the driver should be allowed to drop you off at the hotel entrance. You can hop aboard the monorail to Magic Kingdom after you eat, and then head back to the TTC to catch a rideshare at the end of the day.

If you have the Park Hopper Option on your ticket, my tip is to take the monorail from Magic Kingdom to EPCOT for a fun change of scenery. You'll transfer at the TTC to enjoy a smooth ride on those sleek trains. I always imagine how proud Walt Disney would be of the monorail system at Walt Disney World; he was mad about trains!

Yesenia, I hope you have a magical time on your upcoming visit. Give Chef Mickey a chef's kiss from me. Please stop by planDisney again!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
