I have a reservation for which I had to borrow points from a 2025 use year. I modify that reservation but the new reservation is less than my original one. Will my borrowed points be used leaving my 2024 points or will 2024 points be used first?

Welcome to planDisney, Chad, and Welcome Home!

Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. I am happy to help fellow Disney Vacation Club Members experience all their Membership has to offer. Let's take a look at borrowing Vacation Points.

One key feature that really sets DVC Membership apart is flexibility. Members can borrow Points to expand their travel one year or bank Points to save for a trip the next year. Borrowing Points is a final transaction. Once your Points are converted from 2025 to 2024 Points, they will stay 2024 Points. So even if your reservation is cancelled or modified, those borrowed Points will now expire at the end of your 2024 Use Year. In regards to your question, the Points that were borrowed are now the same as the original 2024 Points. So there is no particular "order" in which they will be used. I hope this helps clarify the borrowing process. If you have more questions about your Points, I recommend calling DVC Member Services or coming back to visit us at planDisney.

    Enjoy making magical memories!
