If I renew my magic key pass today, does the expiration date change?

Hiya, Michele, and welcome to planDisney! Congratulations on being a Magic Key holder because I can't think of a better way to enjoy Disneyland Resort than being part of the Magic Key family. And I'm thrilled that you're planning to renew your pass, so let's talk about how the process works.

My pal Al recently went through the renewal process for his Magic Key, so read his answer for the details of his experience. When your renewal window opens 30 days before your current expiration date, you can renew your pass online. You'll be charged soon after, and that will become the payment date for your new pass.

Your new pass will activate once your old one expires, so your expiration date should stay the same, Michele. Remember, if you renew at the 30-day mark, you might have two payments that month, one for the old pass and one for the new. If you have additional questions, please call the Magic Key Holders line; they'll gladly help.

Michele, did you know you get discounts at many restaurants, shops, and experiences by being a Magic Key holder? Depending on your pass, you could get up to 20% off! Some character dining is included, like my favorite breakfast spot, Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel. And who doesn't love a discount on Disney souvenirs? Stop by World of Disney in Downtown Disney District for a discount on most merchandise. On my last visit, I picked up matching tees for my husband and myself.

I'm sprinkling pixie dust and waving my wand so your Magic Key renewal is practically perfect, Michele. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
