I am to renew my annual pass on October 8th. If I go ahead and renew now the new pass would not start until my first one expires correct? I have 2 buy 2 passes and dont think I can do it all at one time.

Hey there! Hi there! Welcome to planDisney, Amy. I'm so glad to see you here with your question about renewing your Annual Pass. It means you enjoy being a Passholder as much as I do.

When it is time to say, "Hot dog! Let's keep the magic coming!" and you want to renew your Annual Pass, you can do this starting 60 days before and up to 30 days after your pass's expiration date. It's a wonderful 90-day window. When you renew, the new Annual Pass is automagically activated for the day after your previous pass expires—no gaps in dates. If you renew before it expires, you will not lose any time on your current pass.

If you renew your passes separately, don't forget to renew the second one before the 30-day window closes to be eligible for any special renewal benefit.

You can renew your Annual Passes online or on the My Disney Experience app. If you prefer to speak with a Cast Member, you can call the V.I.Passholder number for assistance.

Have you seen the latest Passholder Buzz? I hope your plans include a Walt Disney World Resort trip this fall. A special magnet featuring Timon and Pumba is coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. It will be available between August 14 and September 22, 2024. I love the Passholder Buzz! I look at it and review the list of discounts and benefits available to Annual Passholders before each visit.

One tip I have that may help with budgeting for your Annual Passes renewal next year or a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is Disney Gift Cards. I can spread the cost over a more extended period by picking up gift cards when shopping for groceries or shampoo. Buying cards for $25 at a time helps when large purchases are ahead. You can register your cards online and even transfer funds between cards to have one "master" gift card with up to $1,000. If you have the total amount on a gift card, you can renew your Annual Pass online. If it is not enough for the total but helps, you can call and get assistance applying multiple forms of payment.

If you have any other questions as you enjoy another year of walking down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., please come back by planDisney. You've got a friend in us!
