Dario from AZ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

When will they remove the virtual queue for haunted mansion and go back to normal?

Welcome to planDisney, Dario! Kindly step all the way in please, and make room for everyone. There's no turning back now...

Our tour would typically begin here in the Haunted Mansion's expanded standby queue, which will feature gardens that include a water fountain and gazebo with themed statuary and landscaping. There will even be a greenhouse where you'll see plants that the groundskeepers grow. Unfortunately, this area is still under construction and not yet ready for viewing. Until such time that this area is ready, it sounds like Disney is using the virtual queue to better manage the crowds. No opening date has been released for this area, however, so I'm afraid that we aren't able to predict when normal standby queue protocols will resume.

Haunted Mansion Holiday will continue to delight Guests until the Holiday Season ends on January 6, 2025. I know that we're all hoping to see the finished Grounds Expansion open as soon as possible! I'm sorry that I'm not able to provide a definitive answer for you but at least Guests are able to enjoy the attraction itself in the meantime.

During your Halloween visit, spend some time sampling the many seasonal Halloween themed dishes that the Disney chefs have created! My sweet tooth definitely gets a workout around this time of year and it's my favorite time to visit. The decorations are second to none! For even more Halloween fun, consider Disney's Happiest Haunts Guided Tour! It's a two hour tour where you learn about the history of Halloween and Halloween tales specific to Disney experiences. You'll even get an exclusive photo op with the Hitchhiking Ghosts!

And now, Dario, please exit by stepping away from your Doom Buggy with your left foot first onto the moving platform. I wish you a magically spooky visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, and if you have any more questions, be sure to hurry baaaaack...

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
