I am glad you stopped by with this question about converting your friends'
MyDisney accounts. By doing this the wrong way, I learned just how easy it should be.
If your friends are 13 or older, you can
update their accounts online or follow these steps on the
My Disney Experience app:
- Open the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen)
- Scroll to "Account" and select "Profile"
- Pick the "Family & Friends" tab at the top of the page
- Select your friend's profile to open it
- Click on "Send email" and enter their email address
- Ask them to open the email and accept the invitation to manage their account
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! The accounts should now be managed by them and the tickets and Annual Passes linked to their account stay in place on their profiles. They will still show in your Family & Friends list, and you can share plans, photos, and all the frills and thrills.
If you have any challenges, you can
call and ask for assistance. Hopefully, you won't need to, as these are the directions a Cast Member guided me through. I have now converted my teens' accounts successfully after my first failed attempt.
