Hi Genevieve!
Thanks for
running over to planDisney with your question! My husband and I love to participate in
runDisney events together, and oftentimes I am the one who registers both of us for races on registration day.
If you’re asking if you can link your
runDisney event to your My Disney Experience account so that it appears within your plans, you can add it as a Note. To do this, log in to your My Disney Experience account on a web browser. Scroll down to “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets” and find “+ Add More Plans.” A drop-down menu will appear and if you select “Notes” you can add a detailed note including date, location, time, and participants. If you add your family members it will also appear in their My Disney Experience account plans.
Instead, you might be asking if
you can transfer your family members’ registrations to appear within their runDisney accounts. There are a few options to unlink their registration from your
runDisney account. One method is for you to email runDisney@disneysports.com and cc the second registrant. Within the email, include the specific event category and participant information, as well as state permission to unlink the registrations. You will receive an email once the transfer is complete or if more information is needed.
The event registration can also be unlinked through your
runDisney account by logging in and selecting your family member’s registration under “Your Upcoming Event.” You should see a notice stating that your family member has documents to review. Click “Review Documents” and enter your family member’s email that is associated with their
runDisney account. Click “Send Instructions” and they will receive an email to sign the event waiver electronically. The registration will no longer appear in your account and will link to their account once they click on the link in their waiver email.
If the registration does not appear in their account after you complete this process, your family member can contact
runDisney through the
“Contact Us” form on the website or email runDisney@disneysports.com. Once again, include the following information:
Participant’s name
Email associated with their runDisney account
Date of Birth
Current Address
Phone Number
The registrant will receive an email response from
runDisney if more information is needed or once the registration is linked to their account.
I hope this was helpful, Genevieve! Before you get to that starting line, check out the
Training Programs offered on the
runDisney website. I love to talk about all things
runDisney so if you have any future event questions or need help with planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation,
come back and see me at planDisney!
Wishing you many magical miles!
Kaitlin
