Hi Jason, and thanks for visiting us at planDisney. I often work remotely from Disney at the beginning and end of my trips. It’s a fun way to get a bit of extra magic in between virtual meetings and spreadsheets. So a whole business trip at the Yacht Club sounds amazing!
Now, let’s chat about getting your hotel receipt. Since you already checked your junk and spam folders, there’s one last thing you can try to see if the receipt is somewhere in your inbox. If I search for the word “folio”, it brings up all of my old hotel receipts. I just got one last week on my check-out day, and the subject line was “Your Disney Hotel Receipt”.
If you can’t find the email, I’ve been able to recover lost receipts by contacting Disney World through the website. In the
contact form, select “Hotel Reservations” under the Category drop-down menu and “My Hotel Bill and Folio” under the Subcategory drop-down menu, and then add your reservation or confirmation number. A Cast Member will be in touch soon, hopefully with your receipt! In my experience, it may take a few days to hear back.
Next time you’re staying at a
Disney Resort hotel, while you can’t download your receipt from the
My Disney Experience app, during your stay, you can use it to keep an eye on your room charges and even check when the next
buses will arrive when you’re ready to head to the theme parks. You’ll find that information by going to ≡ in the lower right corner of the app and then Hotel Reservations (under My Visit). You can even use a button in that section to unlock your door if you left your
MagicBand or key card in the room.
I hope you’ll be back at Disney World for another adventure real soon! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome here at planDisney.
JoAnna
