Randy from BC Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We recently had someone pass unexpectedly, and so I am looking at bringing the family to Disneyland to help with the recovery process. Seven adults, and seven kids between 15 and 4. Best way to get a deluxe package for seven days at the end of August?

Welcome to planDisney, Randy. I'm so glad you've reached out to us, and on behalf of all of us, please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I'm honored to have the chance to help you consider something special at Disneyland Resort and I hope the strength of being together will be a comfort to all of you.

The best way to arrange your multi-day theme park tickets and accommodations at a Disneyland Resort hotel or a Good Neighbor hotel property is to book a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package. You can simply use the online search function and enter the information about your travel party and preferred dates to see the results that might meet your needs. Alternatively, you can call the Vacation Packages line to speak with a Cast Member about bookings. This might be an especially effective approach, given the size of your travel party. They might be able to help you consider all the potential hotel room or suite options that would serve your group.

Randy, if I can extend another recommendation, I'd suggest planning for at least one table service dining reservation during your visit. I find that sharing a meal with loved ones during our vacation is a lovely way to reconnect after a busy day in the theme parks and we often find ourselves sharing stories and memories that bring us joy. It's a nice way to prioritize connection during our vacation. You can make dining reservations online up to 60 days in advance of your visit. I have some tips here about how to organize dining reservations and other recommendations for a large travel party, in case they prove useful to you.

Thank you again for sharing this special question with us, Randy. It really spoke to me, personally, as I often visit Disneyland Resort with cherished memories of someone important in my life who is no longer with me. It is such a special place that brings loved ones together in a powerful way and I hope this vacation is a meaningful experience that you all remember forever. If we can help with anything else that comes up, please feel welcome to reach out to planDisney again soon. We're always happy to lend our suggestions as you prepare for this special visit.

    Love is an open door,
