Hi there, Yizhen!
Welcome to planDisney. It looks like you may have recently relocated from Pennsylvania, my home state! First of all, that was a very smart move as the winter chill has set in over here. Secondly, you are going to love being just a drive away from the Happiest Place on Earth! There is nothing like hopping in the car after work for a spin on Space Mountain and a churro.
The
SoCal Resident Ticket Offer is a great way to experience the Disneyland Resort. Before we get too far into the perks and pixie dust of these tickets, I do want to tell you that Guests are required to present a valid government-issued photo ID reflecting a Southern Californian address within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599. Unfortunately, a utility bill, temporary Driver's License, student ID, etc. are not accepted. It sounds like you may have your new Driver's License already in process, which is great news! You have until May 15, 2025 to use all three days of your ticket, so you will hopefully have plenty of time once that new ID arrives.
I would recommend going ahead and making the
theme park reservations required for the days you are hoping to visit. As we get closer to the expiration date, you will see a lot of Guests making plans to use the last few days on their tickets and reservations may be hard to secure. If you have a reservation for this week and your new ID has yet to arrive, you can easily reschedule the reservation by heading into the Disneyland Mobile App. Tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar and select "Make a Park Reservation". From here, you will see a button to "Make or Modify Park Reservations". Follow the steps from there to reschedule your first visit.
There is so much to be excited about in the coming months ahead. One of my favorite times to visit California Adventure is for the
Food and Wine Festival (February 28 - April 21, 2025). Not only will you get to snack your way through the Festival Marketplace, but
Soarin' Over California makes it's triumphant, limited-time return! The festival also offers really unique opportunities like food and wine pairings at
Carthay Circle Receptions and
tasting seminars. I would plan to spend a whole day just sipping and snacking your way through the park!
Yizhen, I know this was likely not the news you were hoping for, but I do hope it was helpful in your planning. If you have any more questions or need another tip or two, you know where to find us at
planDisney.
Magic awaits!
