Welcome to planDisney, Laura! You arrive soon for your
Walt Disney World Resort visit, so I hope your bags and Minnie ears are packed. My dad always said time is money, so let's chat about how you can cut wait times at your favorite attractions during your trip.
Lightning Lane passes are a fantastic way to squeeze every ounce of pixie dust from your Disney day. Guests linked to a Disney resort hotel stay can purchase and select those passes
7 days before check-in, while other guests can do so at the 3-day mark. You're close to that window now, so let's jump right in and discuss payment methods.
You're correct that
storing Disney Gift Cards in your
My Disney Experience mobile app is a new feature, and I love it! Once you've added a valid gift card to your account profile, you can use it to pay for mobile food orders, merchandise checkout, and more. As of this writing, the one place you won't see your stored gift card as a payment option is when you're purchasing Lightning Lane passes.
But hakuna matata! I have a quick and easy solution that my friends and I use. Type your gift card numbers in your phone's notes so you can copy and paste them during checkout. For Lightning Lane passes, you'll select "Add Payment Method" and then tap "Disney Gift Card." Copy and paste those numbers, and you should be ready to pull down that lap bar and ride!
My must-have Lightning Lane Single Pass is for
Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios. But since this family-friendly coaster often sells out quickly, I always set my alarm to snag it as soon as my booking window opens. There's just something about hearing Slinky drawl, "Hang on!" that makes my heart happy!
Laura, I'm wishing on a star for luck so you can secure the Lightning Lane passes of your dreams! Have a magical visit, and please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
