I recently moved from NorCal to SoCal, and my driver’s license hasn’t been updated with my current SoCal address. Can I use another form of proof of address, like a bank statement, to show proof of SoCal residency for the SoCal resident tickets?

    Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I love that Disney offers the SoCal 3-day Ticket to local residents. With the park so close by, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the "Happiest Place on Earth."

For Mouseketeers who purchase a SoCal 3-day ticket, a Cast Member will need to verify your address with a valid government-issued photo ID when you arrive at the park. Unfortunately, your passport, utility bill, or even a bank statement wouldn’t provide enough information to qualify. The SoCal 3-day ticket is currently offered through May 15, 2025, so there may still be time to get your California ID or driver's license updated. You can always modify your park reservation and visit at a later time. If you're getting close to May 15 and still don’t have an updated ID, I recommend heading to the Ticket Booths in the Esplanade between both park entrances when you arrive tomorrow. Talk to a Cast Member there to see what can be done about your tickets.

Jonathan, I know that might not be the news you were hoping for, but don’t lose heart—there are still ways to enjoy the Disney magic without heading into the park. If you can’t make it into the park tomorrow, consider strolling through Downtown Disney, grabbing a bite to eat, and enjoying some good music. My tried-and-true recommendation is Ballast Point. They’re offering a seasonal BBQ Bacon Burger right now that sounds delicious! If you have a late-night dinner at Ballast Point, I recommend grabbing a seat on the back balcony—you can see the Disneyland fireworks from there!

Jonathan, I hope this information is helpful. I’m sure Disneyland magic is in your future soon! Disneyland Resort has a lot of amazing events coming in 2025, especially with this year marking the 70th anniversary of Disneyland. Some incredible new experiences are on the way. If you have any other questions or need help planning, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow panelists—we’d be happy to share our insights.

    Best of luck!
