I live in California however I haven't received my California id yet. Is it ok to bring a copy of my insurance bill for proof of residence when buying the socal 3 day ticket

    Hi there, Chrisslyn!

Welcome to planDisney. We're so happy you stopped by with your question. As a former SoCal resident, I always get myself into a swirl of pixie dust when Disneyland drops the SoCal Resident Ticket Offer and wish we could move back - it is just so good! With 3 days to enjoy the parks over the course of a few months, you will get to experience many magical offerings.

With that in mind, let's jump into your question. As this is such a great deal for local Guests, there are pretty firm lines around what IDs are accepted to provide proof of residency. Currently, only valid government-issued photo IDs reflecting a home address within ZIP codes 90000 to 93599 are accepted. I wish I had better news for you, but an insurance bill is not an eligible form of proof of residency in this case.

The good news is that the tickets are valid until May 15, 2025, so that does leave quite a big window to hopefully secure an ID and head into the parks. If you're able to purchase the SoCal Resident Ticket, I would get all 3 of your theme park reservations in place sooner rather than later. These can be modified if needed down the line, but as we start to get closer to May, you will see availability tighten up as everyone is hoping to use all 3 days of their tickets. You can always take a peek at current availability by looking at the theme park reservation calendar and toggling to "Southern California Resident Ticket Offer". Reservations can be made and modified right in the Disneyland app by tapping the "+" along the bottom navigation bar and selecting "Make a Park Reservation".

Chrisslyn, I do hope you find yourself in the parks very soon! There are already a few fun things announced for the coming months that you can take advantage of as part of your ticket. I always make a plan to visit during California Adventure's Food and Wine Festival (February 28 - April 21) and Season of the Force at Disneyland Park, just to name a few!

If you have any more questions in your planning, feel free to reach back out to us here at planDisney. We love helping fellow Guests find their way to the magic.
