Hello there, welcome to planDisney! Darlene thank you for stopping by with this very important planning question. This attraction is one of the best I have ever been on, and I hope there is still time to get you aboard the ship.
EPCOT has always been home to
Walt Disney World’s coolest technology.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, is no exception to this rule. Everything about it, from the preshow, to the launch, to the last scene when you’re welcomed back. It’s all mind blowing, and is as exciting as the movies. This attraction is really popular for all of these reasons. The
Virtual Queue fills up very quickly at 7 A.M. It will be full before it is 7:01 A.M. If you aren’t able to obtain a boarding pass during the first attempt of the day, then you will be able to try again at 1 P.M. However, for this time you must be located inside of EPCOT. There are a couple of tips I like to include when joining a Virtual Queue. The first is to make sure you are on the
My Disney Experience App 5 minutes before 7 A.M. This ensures that you have plenty of time to get to the screen inside the app to click on "Join Virtual Queue" as the clock strikes seven. You will also want to make sure you have everyone selected in your party beforehand. You can try a test run, which will tell you that the Virtual Queue is not open yet. I still do that and it always makes me feel better, even though I have done this over 10 times for this and other attractions as well.
There are other opportunities to board this ride with another Virtual Queue. If you are staying at a deluxe resort within the
Disney Resorts Collection, there are
Extended Evening Hours at select parks. If that is the case, there is an additional virtual queue time at 6 P.M. if Epcot is the park that has the Extended Evening Hours. And the final way you can board this attraction is by purchasing a
Lightning Lane Single Pass. This way you will know exactly what time your experience is going to be.
If you are indeed still going to EPCOT, I have to mention one of my favorite things that is served to park goers. The
International Festival of the Arts is happening right now. And talking about the parks isn’t complete without me talking about food. The
Pastoral Palate has been serving up this dish for years, and this guy hopes it never goes away. The red wine braised short ribs with parsnip purée, baby tomatoes, broccolini, and a balsamic glaze is heaven. For me, this is the star of the show of all of the Food Studios and not to be missed.
I hope these tips help you save the galaxy with Groot and the rest of the Guardians. If you have any other planning questions visit us again at

Have a magical day,
Jeremy A.
