Hello I have a question about virtual queues. Is the 1:00pm window easier to get than the 7:00am window for tron? If it is, how much time should i wait until joining the virtual queue if i wish to have boarding groups 140-160?

Welcome to planDisney, Team Blue User!

Marvin, you're about to be digitized, so I'm happy to discuss joining a virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle / Run. You'll arrive for your Walt Disney World Resort adventure in just a few days, so let's enter the Grid.

Predicting virtual queues is an inexact science because so much depends on the number of guests trying to join. That varies depending on the time of year, weather, and more. I can give you my best guesses based on my experience and research, but you might have a completely different outcome during your visit. The planner in me knows that's not what you hoped to hear, but I'll still share some tips.

You'll need quick hands to join the first virtual queue at 7:00 AM! Boarding groups typically fill up in less than a minute. On my most recent visit in January, I got lucky and snagged a boarding group at around 7:03 AM; "someone" forgot to set the alarm! I was assigned boarding group 70 which was called back around noon that day.

The 1:00 PM virtual queue is typically open for guests to join a bit longer. My pals say they've joined as late as 1:10 PM, but I can't stress how difficult that is to predict. I searched online and found several guests who shared their strategies for experiencing TRON at night. One person said they try to join around 1:07 PM on crowded days and as late as 1:15 PM during less busy times. It's truly impossible to know precisely when the virtual queue will close.

I advise you to join as soon as the queue opens because if your boarding group is too late in the day, there's no guarantee you'll be called before the park closes. I've found that this attraction often pauses for extended periods for maintenance, which can also delay the boarding process.

Just to remind you, you must have scanned into Magic Kingdom Park to be eligible to join the 1:00 PM virtual queue. Once your boarding group is called, you typically have an hour to return, so if you're hoping to ride at night, try waiting until later in your window to scan in.

Once you're ready to ride, my tip is to sit in the very front. I've ridden in practically every row and find the first cycle the most exhilarating. Keep your head up to take it all in, and smile for the photo!

Marvin, I hope I've given you some guidelines to consider for securing passage on TRON Lightcycle / Run. Please stop by planDisney anytime. As they say in the Grid, "End of line."

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
