Hello, how do we qualify for DAS for my kid with respiratory issue? I do have a 1.5 years old and 7 years old.

    Hey, Daine!

It's an honor to serve you again and help you answer your great question. It sounds like you're putting a lot of thought into making sure your kiddos have the best experience possible, and I'd be happy to walk you through the Disability Access Service (DAS) process.

DAS is a complimentary service designed to accommodate Guests who, due to a developmental disability like autism or similar, are unable to wait in a conventional queue for an extended period of time. Instead of standing in line, DAS allows eligible Guests and their party to select return times for attractions using the My Disney Experience app, helping to create a smoother and more enjoyable visit.

If you believe DAS may be helpful for your child with a respiratory condition, the best way to find out if they qualify is to speak with a Cast Member through the DAS Advance registration process. Here’s how you can do that:

You may have a pre-arrival conversation as soon as 60 days in advance of a park visit.
    - Log in to your My Disney Experience account.
    - Visit the Registering with Disability Access Service (DAS) page.
    - Click on the “Request Live Chat” button.
    - Ensure your device has a working camera, as the video chat is required.
    - Have your child present for the call, as they must be part of the registration process.

The live chat is available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM (ET). Depending on call volumes, you may enter a virtual waiting room before connecting with a Cast Member. They will discuss your child's needs and determine if DAS is the right accommodation.

If DAS isn’t the right fit, Disney offers other accommodations, such as stroller-as-a-wheelchair tags (which allow you to use a stroller in lines where they are normally not permitted) and Rider Switch options. We've used both options for our kids and they've been game changers!

Be sure to take advantage of indoor attractions, Baby Care Centers, and relaxation areas to give your kids a break from the heat and walking.

I trust that's helpful, Daine. Thanks again for choosing to be our Guest.
