Hi there, Jeannine!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! It sounds like you’ve traded the Canadian cold for some Florida sunshine. I hope you’re having a wonderful time!
A Disney bus driver once told me that
EPCOT stands for Every Person Comes Out Tired, and I have to say, I agree! With its size, even the most seasoned visitors can feel the miles add up. I completely understand wanting to find the most convenient parking option to help make your visit more comfortable.
I checked with Guest Services, and here’s what I found out: Courtesy trams are back at all four theme parks, including EPCOT. When you arrive, let the
parking Cast Members know about your mobility concerns, and they’ll do their best to park you in a spot close to a tram pick-up location. If you’re using a mobility device and have a valid disability parking permit, you can park in EPCOT’s designated disability parking area, which is in the Moana Lot. If you happen to forget your permit, just let a Cast Member know, and they may still be able to assist. The disability parking area is as close as possible to the entrance, but keep in mind that there will still be some distance to cover to reach security and the park entrance.
If you find that walking any distance is still challenging, you might consider
renting an ECV (electric scooter) once you get into EPCOT. These are available near the front entrance and can help you enjoy your day without worrying about long walks.
While you’re visiting EPCOT, I highly recommend checking out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! It’s one of my favorite events, with gorgeous topiaries, beautiful blooms, and delicious bites from the Outdoor Kitchens. You can grab a Festival Passport when you enter the park to see all the food and beverage offerings, or check out the
foodie guide on the Disney Parks Blog before you go.
I hope this helps, Jeannine! Wishing you a magical and comfortable visit to EPCOT!
