Hi Lori! Thanks for reaching out to us at planDisney. Let's see if we can figure out how to get your
Theme Park Reservations all set.
It sounds like you purchased a 1-day
theme park ticket for January 2, 2024. When purchasing a 1-day ticket, you must select the exact park you'd like to visit and a Theme Park Reservation is automatically made for you. This is the only ticket type currently that automatically makes a reservation for you. Now when you're going to make a reservation, the date is likely red because you already have a Theme Park Reservation for that day and cannot make a second one! You'll just want to confirm that this is the case by checking your My Disney Experience account.
To check to be sure that you have a Theme Park Reservation, log into your
My Disney Experience account and select "My Plans." If you scroll down, you will see any Theme Park Reservations that have been made, usually listed as a "Disney Parks Pass" and lists the park. I'm hoping that yours is there! If it isn't, it may be an issue with the ticket you purchased. In that case, I would suggest you
speak to a friendly Cast Member at the resort to see if they can get to the bottom of it and steer you in the right direction.
If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out to me directly. Have a truly magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort to kick off 2024!
Sometimes the right path is not the easiest one,
Matt
