Welcome to planDisney, Jonathan! Before you know it, you'll be immersed in the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort, and using
Lightning Lane passes is one way to add a little more magic to your day by reducing wait times on some of the most popular attractions! Having just booked Lightning Lanes this morning for my trip next week, I know how important it is to get in there as soon as you can to grab your most prioritized attractions and experiences, so let's see if we can help you troubleshoot!
Jonathan, first be sure that your theme park tickets have been
linked to each person in your travel party and that each person is also connected to you as Friends and Family if you are booking for other guests. You should be able to select the
My Tickets and Passes tile on your
My Disney Experience mobile app to review your tickets and the tickets of your friends and family. You should be within the
eligible booking window today whether you are staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel or staying off property, so once you have ensured that each guest has valid theme park admission for the date you are selecting, you should be able to make your selections. If you have tickets that require
Theme Park Reservations, be sure you have also completed this step to ensure eligibility.
From the home page of your mobile app, select "Purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass" and then select your date and theme park; the next step will show you all eligible members of your party, so here is where you will select other guests as needed. Finally, you'll be able to see which attractions are available and choose your return times based on your plans for the day. If you'd like to also purchase Lightning Lane Single Pass for the same theme park, you can do that at the same time to simplify the process. Be sure to complete the transaction by selecting Purchase and you should then see your plans populate in your app.
Jonathan, if you find that some attractions are not available or times are not exactly what you would like, keep in mind that you can go back and modify your selections after your purchase has been completed, offering additional flexibility to plan a practically perfect day.
