I purchased park hopper with my vacation package (tickets+room) but wondered if I could downgrade from park hopper and put these funds towards MNSSHP instead?

    Hiya Tyra,

Welcome to planDisney! I cannot believe that we are less than 30 days from the spooky season kicking off with the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I’ve already started planning my family’s Halloween costume for this year, and I cannot wait to walk around Magic Kingdom enjoying candy and dancing with my littles.

I’m super excited, Tyra, that you are interested in attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. If you have never been, you are certainly in for a treat! Let’s get to your question! I’m glad you have a Vacation Package, Tyra; these are fantastic for ensuring you can enjoy your vacation with a large share of your expenses covered. The lovely thing about your Vacation Package is that you can modify it leading up to your vacation, including your theme park tickets! When I spoke to a Cast Member, they told me that you should be able to modify your existing Vacation Package online through My Disney Experience. To do so, log on to your account and locate your resort hotel reservation. Once you do, select “Change Reservation.” A new page should appear showing all aspects of your current reservation that you can modify. Select to modify your theme park tickets and then confirm the change. If, for some reason, you do not see an option to do so, I recommend calling a Cast Member in Tickets and Hotel Reservations. In doing so, they can review your specific reservation to ensure it is eligible for modification and assist you in making the change.

I hope this was helpful, Tyra, and that you are able to make modifications to your Vacation Package. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party really is an incredible experience. Once you get your tickets, make sure to pack an extra bag with you for the party. In my experience, you can end up with more candy than you anticipate, so having a spare bag is always helpful. As you continue your planning, please come back and visit us if you need anything else. We would be honored to help you have a spooktacular time during your trip.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
