Welcome to planDisney, Susan!
I am so glad to see that you and your family are finally ready to discover the magic that is
Walt Disney World. You are long overdue for some fun!
Susan, there are a few easy ways to learn if your
theme park tickets are valid, so let's a take a look. One option is to check your
My Disney Experience account online. Once logged in, hover your cursor over your profile pic (at the right), then click on View My Plans & Tickets. Next, scroll down to My Plans, Reservations and Tickets and select the Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker tab. Tickets are listed there.
Another method is to open the
My Disney Experience app, then click on the hamburger icon--three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner--and click on the link at the top left: My Tickets & Passes. You'll be able to see ticket details there.
Susan, I've also had lots of luck calling a Cast Member at the
Walt Disney World Help Center, too. When we had unused tickets that were several years old, those very talented folks at
Tickets and Hotel Reservations informed me that the money paid toward an unused theme park ticket never loses value. So even if your park tickets are no longer valid, you'll likely be able to apply the amount paid to the purchase of new tickets.
Now, as for your MagicBands, those should work for on upcoming trip. We bring our MagicBands and
MagicBand+ on subsequent visits and they all work beautifully--even though they are several years old. Pack those little beauties to enjoy the hands-free ease of visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth while wearing them!
Susan, as you put together your plans for a positively pixie-dusted visit to Walt Disney World, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
