Welcome to planDisney, Melissa!
You have asked a fantastic question!
There are times when a day at
Walt Disney World sounds like the perfect plan...and then we realize that two days there would be even better!
Not to worry. When guests purchase
theme park tickets, they are often able to upgrade those tickets to something with a higher price. In your case, you'll be swapping out a one day ticket to a two day which likely costs more than what you originally paid. According to WDW's website, "when you modify your ticket to add an option, you will need to pay the price of the option plus any changes to the price of the ticket since your original purchase." To do so, I recommend calling the super-talented Cast Members at
WDW's Help Center. They will be able to advise you of just the right way to make that longer visit happen.
Modifying a ticket can often be done via your online
My Disney Experience account or in the
My Disney Experience app, too. In each, go to the page where your ticket is listed; if you are able to personally modify it to the ticket upgrade you mentioned, you'll see that option there. Whenever a ticket situation is possibly a bit tricky, though, I prefer to have a Cast Member help make those modifications so that I can ensure it is all done correctly.
Melissa, it's always smart to keep your eye on
Special Offers, including those for park admission--well done! That extra day could find you exploring the wonders of
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park including the always enthralling
Kilimanjaro Safaris and, one of my personal favorites,
Avatar Flight of Passage. Two days of park fun for the win!
As you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
