Hey there, Julie. Welcome to
planDisney. Wow, you have quite the trip planned. I love the coordination you’re managing. This question is near and dear to me, since I got to visit the
Disneyland Resort last December with
17 of my closest friends, and we had to manage
Lightning Lanes similarly to what you’re dealing with. It’s going to be a memorable experience for everyone!
I like your approach! You have obviously done your research, and you’re on your way. Yes, you can only do 10 reservations at a time. I’d suggest forming three groups, and make sure that everyone in each group will be okay separating from the other groups if reservation times don’t quite line up or if a group wants to visit a different attraction. From here, you can do one of two things: make sure everyone scans each other’s ticket into the
Disneyland Mobile App, or designate one person who will be in charge of making the
Lightning Lane reservations for the group. That person will need to scan each ticket in the group.
Yes, once everyone has their own ticket, you can remove theirs from your app. Press the (☰) and then “My Tickets & Passes.” A button should be displayed below each barcode to remove the ticket from your app. Just be sure that everyone in your party is set before you do this. Also, I’d be sure to assign a name to each ticket for every member of your party, and ensure they scan in with the correct ticket when you all first enter the parks. Keeping track of tickets will get very confusing otherwise, since a person scans in with the ticket number attached to the photo taken. If the name is incorrect, it will remain so for the trip, which is fine, but confusing when managing Lightning Lanes.
Julie, I can’t think of a time that was more fun than when my friends and I took over an entire boat on
Pirates of the Caribbean. The picture on
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! is amazing and brings back the laughter of the giant group of friends having a blast. You’re doing an amazing thing for these people by organizing and thinking through the details. Well done.
Planning a big trip like this is a lot of work. Don’t hesitate to submit more questions to planDisney. I’d be happy to help.
I hope you have a magical day.
