Greetings, Amanda, and welcome to planDisney! You made a great choice by booking your trip to the Disneyland Resort as a vacation package. Since your trip is approaching, let's talk about timing!
If you purchased a vacation package from the Walt Disney Travel Company, here's what you can expect: Three days before your arrival, you'll receive a Travel ePackage to your linked MyDisney account. This will include your theme park tickets and travel itinerary. It will also have a "Magical Extras" voucher that can be shown for discounts at participating locations at the
Downtown Disney District. You can present it to receive a Walt Disney Travel Company collectible pin and lanyard, too, while supplies last. The voucher is a nice benefit of booking a vacation package.
Assuming you have a
Disneyland Resort hotel vacation package, you can look forward to staying at one of the
three Disneyland Resort hotels. Each one has a unique theme, comfortable rooms, dining options, a great pool area, and Disney details we all know and love. One of my favorite parts about staying at these hotels is the proximity to the theme parks. It's easy to head back to your room for a midday break. There are also activities exclusively for hotel Guests, including
limited-time summer activities like pool parties, outdoor movie nights, and even a dance party with Dug!
If you chose a
Good Neighbor Hotel vacation package, this is a great option as well, since these Disney-approved hotels are not far from the Resort.
This is a great time to visit. You'll arrive just after the debut of
Soarin’ Across America, and can enjoy all the festivities of the
70th Anniversary Celebration. Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys are two of my favorite nighttime shows, and
Fantasmic! will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope you have a chance to see all three!
