Hi Jenny,
Welcome to planDisney! It's so nice of you to purchase an Annual Pass for your mom and I'm happy to help get her tech-ready for her next visit.
First, you'll want to be sure your mom is linked on your
Family & Friends list and that both of you have your
sharing settings enabled. If you've already visited Walt Disney World Resort together you're likely already connected, but if not my pal
Melanie shared some quick step-by-step instructions here.
Once you've verified you're linked as Family & Friends your mom should be able to view the
Annual Pass under the "Tickets and Passes" section of her
My Disney Experience Mobile App. I have an upcoming visit with a friend and I can see her tickets on my own app, even though she made the purchase herself. If your mom is unable to view the Annual Pass it's possible that you created a managed profile for her when you purchased the Annual Pass on her behalf. You can
contact a Cast Member by phone for assistance, but I can walk you through the steps to merge the two accounts online.
First, go to your Family and Friends list and click "Settings" next to your mom's name. Then click on "Share Planning," then done. This should generate a friend request to the email associated with her existing Disney account. Once she approves the friend request, it will merge the two duplicate accounts, and you will both be able to see the Annual Pass and any shared plans. If the Annual Pass is not currently assigned to her on your end,
you can reassign it to her once you are connected via Family & Friends.
This shouldn't change any monthly payment settings you already have in place, but keep in mind that if you wish to continue paying for her pass next year you'll need to renew in person or log into your mom's account to complete the payment online.
I hope this was helpful Jenny. If you need further assistance feel free to reach out to a Cast Member. They'll have access to both of your accounts and should be able to troubleshoot if you get stuck.
Wishing you a magical year!
Amy
