Hello there, Simon!
Planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your family means that YOU are the magic! Having your entire party linked together on the
My Disney Experience app means that you can see each other’s plans and help make reservations for each other.
To link your group’s profiles, everyone in your party will need their own My Disney Experience account or profile. I should note that if you have little Jedi-in-training in your party, their account will be managed by whoever created the child’s profile. Now that everyone has their own account, you can link them to your
“My Family & Friends List” on the website or using the My Disney Experience app.
To link up on the website, go to your “My Family & Friends List,” scroll down, and select
“Add a Guest.” From here, you’ll have the option to find the Guest through your already connected Guests, import their Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation, or simply enter their name and age.
Alternatively, you can link your party together on the My Disney Experience app. First, select the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner of your mobile device and select “My Profile.” At the top of the screen, you should be able to select the “Family & Friends List” and scroll down to select “Add a Guest.” If my family is all together in the same place, I prefer linking up on the app since you have the option to scan their linking code on their My Disney Experience app.
Once your Family and Friends List invitations to connect are accepted, as Mrs. Potts from
Beauty and the Beast said, “there may be something [in your reservations] that wasn’t there before.” My mother and I usually split up our Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning for our family, and it’s so fun to log onto the app to see what surprise dining reservations she has already booked for us.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
