Hi Claire!
Welcome to planDisney! I’ve actually done this exact thing! I love to take advantage of
Early Entry at Animal Kingdom (such a
huge perk for Disney Resort and select hotel guests!) and then have some Lightning Lanes ready to go at another park.
So, yes! I’m happy to let you know that you can purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and book your pre-selections for the second park you plan to visit on your park day (pending availability). Just make sure you have a valid
park hopper linked to your
My Disney Experience account, and you’ll be good to go!
If you have a date-based ticket, you won’t need to worry about park reservations. But it’s good to note that if you have a ticket type that requires park reservations, you’ll want to
make your park reservation for Animal Kingdom even though you’ll be purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass for Hollywood Studios.
When it’s time to book your Lightning Lane pre-selections, I recommend aiming to get your first Lightning Lane return time at Hollywood Studios as close as possible to the time you plan to be at the park. That way, you can scan in right away and open up the ability to book your next Lightning Lane.
Ok…one more tip before I let you go! Remember, you can also book up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes each park day. And the best part is that they don’t have to be at the same park if you’ll be using a park hopper. So, you could book a Lightning Lane Single Pass for both
Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom AND
Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios if you’d like (again, pending availability). That’s my go-to strategy whenever I want to maximize Lightning Lanes with a park hopper!
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any other questions as you continue your countdown to Disney!
