Hey there, Wendy!
It sounds like you have some magical plans on the horizon, and if so, I'm happy to help your group plan the best day ever! Let's chat all things
Lightning Lane Passes so you're prepared when your purchase window opens.
Your booking window depends on where you're staying during your visit, not necessarily the length of your admission.
Guests of eligible resorts can begin purchasing and planning 7 days before their check-in date. If you are staying off-site, your purchase window will open 3 days before your ticket start date.
If your whole group is staying on-site, you can include them when making your selections 7 days ahead of check-in. If only part of your group is on-site and others are visiting with an Annual Pass or date-based single or multi-day ticket, you won't be able to make selections for them until they are within their eligible window (3 days ahead of their ticket start date).
This can make things tricky if you have a larger group, but I have a few suggestions. First, be sure everyone has their tickets linked to their My Disney Experience account and that you are all connected via your
Family & Friends list before you begin making Lightning Lane selections. When your planning window opens, you'll be prompted to select the date of visit from the calendar in the
My Disney Experience app, then your park of choice. Note that you can purchase Multi Pass and Single Pass selections in a single transaction, but each day must be purchased separately.
Once you've selected your date and park, you'll place a check next to each guest in your planning party. You may see some guests listed as ineligible until they are within their planning window. If so, go ahead and make the plans for the eligible members of your group, then repeat the process when the rest of the party is within their planning window. It's likely that you won't get the same arrival windows when planning days apart, but you can look for overlapping attraction return times or
modify the early planners' return windows to more closely match the second group's selections. Alternatively, you can wait until everyone is eligible to purchase and plan to ensure your whole group can ride together.
On the day of your visit, your entire group can
begin making new Multi Pass selections together (one at a time, subject to availability) once you've all redeemed one of your initial 3 attractions. I suggest booking your initial 3 attractions as early in the day as possible to give you more opportunities to book additional rides. You can also refresh the app periodically during your visit, as availability can shift throughout the day.
Wendy, I hope this helped. If you need additional clarification, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know. We're always happy to assist!
Wishing you a magical visit!
Amy
