My profile is managed under my husbands my disney account, which means my magic band plus is tied to my tickets on that profile. But if I want to do my own magic band exclusive achievements from play disney app account, how do I connect my magic band plus?

Hi Nathan, and welcome to planDisney. I’m excited to hear that you’ll be walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in less than one week! So let’s make sure you’re all set up to earn those achievements in the Play Disney Parks app.

I’d recommend taking control of your profile since there’s so much you can do through the My Disney Experience app, like access your tickets, make Lightning Lane selections, open your Disney Resort hotel room door, mobile order food, and preview your PhotoPass pictures!

Disney makes it really easy to do this while keeping your tickets and MagicBands connected. Have your husband go to his Family & Friends List on the Disney World website and find your profile under Guests You Manage. He’ll click Manage next to your name and the option to invite you to sign in and plan on your own will be on the next page. When your husband presses the Invite button, he’ll input your email address to send the invitation. Once you confirm, you’ll have full control of your profile, and your tickets and MagicBand+ will still be linked. And you'll be able to use those same credentials to log into the Play Disney Parks app.

Don’t worry, even though you have control of your account, you can still leave all the planning to your husband! As long as you’re linked in each other's Family & Friends List, you can manage each other's plans, like book Lightning Lane selections for both of you.

Now, let’s talk about racking up those achievements! Some of my favorites are the ones earned by interacting with the Fab 50 Character statues across all four theme parks and through the Batuu Bounty Hunters quest in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s a fun way to explore the parks and do something relaxing during busier times of the day.

A quick tip before I go. Sometimes I’ll bring the charging cable to the parks and charge my MagicBand+ with a portable battery during lunch, especially if I'm playing a lot of interactive games. That helps the battery last until the nighttime spectaculars. MagicBand+ adds a bit of pixie dust to those shows, so I wouldn't want you to miss it!

I’m wishing you the most magical visit next week. And don’t forget, if you have any other questions, we’re always here for you at planDisney.
