Hey there, Carly!
Thanks for popping over with this question. I'm a big fan of
Disney's Pop Century Resort and I think you'll soon discover that you've made a great choice in resort accommodations.
I've stayed at Pop Century on two past occasions and have ended up in the 80's and 90's sections both times. This isn't usually too far of a walk from Classic Hall where you'll find Everything Pop Shopping and Dining, but a Preferred Room will put you even closer to the action. Be sure to take a tour of the resort grounds and snap some fun photos with the iconic decade props like the giant Mickey telephone and Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead. You'll also want to take a dip in the Hippy Dippy Pool and soar on over to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios via the
Disney Skyliner. It's my favorite way to travel on property!
In my experience, we've always had a room with a Queen bed and a convertible Queen Table/Murphy Bed combo. I reached out to a Cast Member who indicated that rooms with King beds are available by request, but are not guaranteed. I think it's safe to assume you'll get a standard room configuration with two beds, but you are certainly welcome to make a room request when completing the
Online Check-In process. As my
fellow panelist Mike explained to another guest, you can even indicate if you prefer a certain area or floor. Again, requests are not guaranteed but it never hurts to make your wishes known.
I hope this helps put you at ease, Carly. If we can answer any other questions please don't hesitate to pop back and let us know. I'm wishing you a magical visit!
Magic and memories,
Amy
