Hi, is it possible to pay off your balance for your resort stay ahead of time?

Welcome to planDisney, Rebecca. It's always nice to welcome new friends! We hope you come back with all of your Disney vacation planning questions in the future.

If you have purchased a vacation package (Disney Resorts Collection Hotel room reservation and theme park tickets together) through the Walt Disney Travel Company, you are required to make a down payment, with the remaining balance due 30 days before your arrival date. Though not required, you can make payments before the 30-day mark by logging into your My Disney Experience account, selecting "My Plans" from the My Disney Experience menu, and finding your reservation. There should be an option to make a payment. You can pay the entire balance or a portion of it. If you cannot find the option to make a payment (it sometimes plays a game of hide-and-seek), first try to log out and log back in. If that's not successful, call the resort and a friend Cast Member will help you make your payment! If you have a room-only reservation (no theme park tickets), you will make your initial deposit and the rest will be charged to the credit card on file upon check-in. When purchasing theme park tickets only, you will pay for the entirety of the purchase at the time of booking. You can check out the Terms and Conditions page for more details.

Rebecca, I'm a Disney Vacation Club member so I book my vacations a little differently now. But before I bought into this fabulous program, I used to love the option to pay down my balance leading up to my trip. This way, once I got to the Walt Disney World Resort, I didn't have to worry about paying for the trip because it was already done. And now that the dining plans are returning with stays starting January 9, 2024, that's even more true. If you have one of these convenient plans added to your package, you really only have to worry about paying for merchandise and tipping your servers at table-service restaurants once you arrive at the resort.

I hope your vacation is truly magical. Please reach out directly to me with any other questions and I'd be happy to help!

Some people are worth melting for,
    Matt
