Hello Brianna,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm not sure whether congratulations are in order for you, or if you're inquiring for a friend or family member. Either way, a new Mouseketeer is always something to celebrate. Let's discuss!
Many guests have dreams of a gender reveal involving fireworks over
Cinderella Castle. While this would be a pretty magical way to announce whether to "make it pink" or "make it blue" unfortunately, this is not currently part of the
Enchanting Extras Collection offerings. As you can imagine, there would likely be a lot of bibbidi bobbidi booms over Magic Kingdom Park each day if every guest who inquired was able to bring their vision to life. Keep in mind that guests are also prohibited from bringing fireworks, smoke machines, confetti poppers, etc. into the parks, as indicated in the
property rules.
Though this is probably not the answer you hoped for, I'd be happy to share some alternate gender reveal options that you might want to consider. These are all on a smaller scale than fireworks, castle projections, and lighting displays, but each would be equally special for the happy parents-to-be. I've seen a few couples enlist the help of Cast Members at merchandise locations. You could pick out two different gender-specific items like a pair of Mickey and Minnie plush dolls or boy and girl onesies and bring them to the checkout area. Provide the Cast Member with the gender information and ask them to ring up and package the appropriate item for you. Bring your package over to an Instagram-worthy location and open to reveal whether a baby boy or baby girl will be joining the family. Just don't peek at the receipt before the reveal! Though I can't guarantee all locations and all Cast Members will be able to assist with this (especially during a very busy time of day) it never hurts to ask nicely.
If you have a sweet tooth why not head over to
Main Street Confectionery? You'll find a selection of colorful treats and can ask Cast Members to find something deliciously blue or perfectly pink to help reveal the news. The bonus is that you get to eat the goods after the announcement! My pal and
alumni panelist Michelle also shared some other fabulous suggestions last year. I especially like her idea of incorporating a
Capture Your Moment photo session into the announcement. You'll enjoy those magical memories via the photos for years to come.
Brianna, I hope this helps you start planning for the big reveal. If we can answer any additional questions in the meantime, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
