We have 8:50pm reservations at California Grill on our night at Epcot will they seat us for the fireworks show with a reservation at that time (fireworks start at 9). And what is the fastest way to get to the restaurant?

Hiya, Jennifer! And welcome to planDisney. It sounds like you have the perfect day planned! EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival and a phenomenal dinner with fantastic views of fireworks is a combination that would be tough to top.

California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of the most magical places to experience Happily Ever After fireworks. With your reservation at 8:50, you should be able to be seated before they start. I always recommend showing up 15-20 minutes before your reservation, and I would do the same for this one. You are in for a very special treat! I had the chance to watch the fireworks on the observation deck, and it is a memory I will cherish forever.

To get from EPCOT to the Contemporary Resort using Disney transportation, the Disney Monorail is your highway in the sky. Take the Monorail from EPCOT to the Transportation and Ticket Center (the TTC). At the TTC, transfer to the Monorail headed to the Magic Kingdom Park. It makes stops at the resorts, including the Contemporary. The ride to the TTC should take about 15 minutes and the ride from the TTC to the Contemporary will be about 10 minutes. I would allow at least 45 minutes for the Monorail transportation, given you have to transfer and you never know if you walk up when one is arriving or if you are going to watch it ride away as you make your way up to the gates. I also like showing up to dinner with all my thoughts focused on the meal, not panicked about running late.

Once you arrive at the Contemporary Resort, head to Level 2 to check in. They will escort you to the elevator to access the restaurant. From there, raise a glass, toast the day and the people you are enjoying it with, and as Lumiere says, "We'll prepare and serve with flair a culinary cabaret!"

Please come back to planDisney with any other questions. We love it when you are our guest!
