Hiya, Stuart! Welcome to planDisney. Meeting your family in EPCOT sounds like a perfect way to spend a day this weekend. I know you will love seeing your daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. My kids still talk about when my parents met us at Walt Disney World Resort. Children's memories with grandparents are priceless.
Since your trip is just around the corner, I will keep this short and sweet so you can get your tickets and start making the rest of your plans.
You can purchase theme park tickets online before your trip. Currently, a one-day ticket to EPCOT for Saturday, April 20 is $174 for an adult ($185.31 with tax). This is the cost per person for a day in EPCOT. With this one-day ticket, you do not need to make park reservations.
With your My Disney Experience account, you should see the ticket in the My Disney Experience app. There are several ways to enter the parks:
- If you have a MagicBand or MagicBand+, you can scan in at the gates at EPCOT's main entrance or International Gateway
- You can stop by Guest Relations near EPCOT's main entrance or International Gateway for a card to scan
- You can use Magic Mobile on your cell phone and skip a line before you enter the park
If you are not familiar with Magic Mobile, it is a great new feature available to
Walt Disney World Resort Guests. In the My Disney Experience app, select the 3-line icon (☰) in the bottom-right corner and select the Disney MagicMobile tile. You can pick a fun pass style and then choose to add it to your phone's digital wallet. At the gate, simply hold your phone to the Mickey Mouse on the post and place your finger in the fingerprint scanner as you would if you were using a MagicBand+ or card.
You can also purchase your tickets at Guest Relations when you arrive at EPCOT.
You will be at EPCOT during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. There are so many gorgeous topiaries and special treats to celebrate the beauty of our planet in spring. I hope you make time for the butterfly garden. It's a personal favorite.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana calls me, too. It is gorgeous and the interactions with water are playful and imaginative.
I hope you have a magical time with your family and create memories of a lifetime!
Thinking of the happiest things!
