Hello there, Glynnis! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great planning question.
Before you know it, you'll be arriving at the gorgeous
Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to embark on your magical adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting, Glynnis! This is now my favorite Resort, and it's so easy to see why. With its stunning refurbished rooms, fantastic pools, fabulous dining options and location right on the monorail and within walking distance of Magic Kingdom, the Grand Floridian is the perfect home away from home right in the middle of the magic. Now, let's chat about your stay!
The Courtyard Pool, the spa and the Courtyard Pool Bar were scheduled to be closed through the end of February 2025 for routine maintenance. I just spoke with a Cast Member, and she was unsure if the maintenance has been fully completed or not. However, with the date of completion listed as February 2025, I don't think you'll have any issues with the Courtyard Pool construction during your trip.
I also asked the Cast Member about any upcoming plans for refurbishment during your trip in June 2025, and she stated that nothing has been announced at this time. I think this is a good sign! Typically, any scheduled pool or restaurant closures are announced in advance, especially to Guests who have a Resort reservation. But just in case, I recommend keeping an eye on
the Grand Floridian page on the Walt Disney World website for any possible refurbishment or construction updates. Just look for any refurbishment alerts in red at the top of the page. Almost the entire Resort was recently beautifully refurbished, so I'm hopeful your stay will be practically perfect in every way.
While the monorail is such a quick and easy way to get to and from your Resort to Magic Kingdom, I recommend mixing it up and taking the boat or walking some of the time. The boat is such a relaxing and beautiful way to travel, and the walk is so peaceful and lovely. We even saw deer on our walk! It's pure magic.
I hope this helps, Glynnis, and I hope you have the most magical and memorable time. Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have.
It's a jolly holiday,
Mandy
