Hi Claire,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with another question about your upcoming summer vacation. You've picked two fantastic Disney Resorts - the split stay will let you experience both within the same trip! My family loves doing the same, it's a great way to get a feel for different Disney Resorts and to enjoy all they offer.
On a split stay, your dining window opens 60-days before check-in (for each resort) so you'll need to mark your calendar for 60-days from check-in at both
Animal Kingdom Lodge and
Boardwalk. You can book dining for your Animal Kingdom Lodge stay on the day the dining window opens and then 60 days from check-in day at Boardwalk, you can book your remaining 4 days of dining.
When it’s time to book, I highly recommend using the online reservation system—it opens at 6 AM EST, while phone reservations start an hour later at 7 AM EST. That extra hour can make all the difference when trying to secure those popular dining spots, especially during the summer!
Once your first Disney hotel stay is finished, Bell Services can assist with moving your luggage to your second hotel. Just be sure to keep a small bag with any important items you might need during the day as it can take a bit of time for your luggage to be transported.
I hope this information is helpful to your planning, Claire. With over 100 table-service restaurants that accept Advance Dining Reservations, it’s worthwhile to take a peek at menus so you can narrow down your must-visit spots. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney - please visit again if you have any additional questions!
Happy planning,
Candace
