Hello there Gina, and welcome to planDisney!
There's a lot being written and reviewed online about some of the most popular Magic Kingdom Park dining locations like
Cinderella's Royal Table or
Be Our Guest Restaurant, and I'm always happy to shed some light on some of the smaller establishments that folks and families might enjoy!
The Plaza Restaurant is one of those special spots just at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. tucked behind an array of umbrellas on the way to the
Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, whose
classic menu definitely doesn't disappoint when one is in search of familiar fare to enjoy when sitting down to a meal within
Magic Kingdom Park.
The Plaza Restaurant is definitely one of the more intimate restaurant spaces across the Theme Parks, and therefore a bit more of a challenge for those looking to snag a reservation! Though it would be great if all of the tables just outside its many glass windows were available for diners, I confirmed with the Cast Members as I passed by this afternoon that the only seating available to guests with reservations is located indoors. However, it is possible to request to be seated by one of the windows which tends to be popular among folks looking to catch a glimpse of
Cinderella Castle.
As you mentioned, I've observed the outdoor tables primarily used by those sitting down to enjoy their frozen desserts from the
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor or even bringing over their meals from
Casey's Corner; this seating area is also open to guests just looking for a shady getaway under the umbrellas. (If you've found the prefect outdoor table in this area, it could definitely be useful to take advantage of making
Mobile Food & Beverage Orders and snag your spot in advance while sending a member of your party to collect your snacks.) I hope this helped Gina, don't hesitate to
come back to planDisney again for any more tips or advice ahead of your upcoming visit!
