Laissez les bon temps rouler, Tara! I am so glad you rolled up to planDisney to ask about Fat Tuesday at
Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter celebrates Mardi Gras year-round, so you know it's a big deal in the Big Easy.
I have not seen any details on the day's events, but let me share what I know to help you plan. This weekend, a cast member posted a sneak peek of a few of the resorts' floats on social media. She was brimming with excitement, as, once again, this is going to be electric! After all, it's
beignet a year since the last one and these Cast Members' skills reign supreme! The Port Orleans Pargo Parade typically starts at 10 a.m., goes around the French Quarter and
Riverside, and usually lasts about an hour.
While the parade is the crown jewel of the holiday fête, there is more fun filling the air. The French Quarter Courtyard has been known to pull out the beads and feathers for Courtyard Crafts from noon until 4 p.m. The good times continue to roll with a party from 5 until 10 p.m.
Scat Cats Lounge offers a spirited evening with great drinks and live jazz. Confetti hair don't care. It's Mardi Gras at Disney!
Tara, I hope you leave a little sparkle everywhere you go. If we can help with any other questions, come see us again at
planDisney. We're here to help get the party started.
There's no Tuesday like a Fat Tuesday!
