Hi We have booked to go to the HS after hours event in August which finishes @12:30 and on a different day Ora's @ 21:00. Can you tell me what time the last bus will run back to French Quarter resort. Many thanks Nick

    Hi Nick!

Welcome back to planDisney!  How wonderful to be counting down to another Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  I love the excitement of the final weeks as I make advanced dining reservations, book special experiences, and decide my must-do attractions and entertainment in the parks.  If you're looking for some suggestions to enhance your countdown fun, you may want to check a recent episode of the planDisney Podcast where my panelist pals Lizzie and Diane shared some great ideas!

Nick, it sounds like you have some great plans already in the works for Disney's Hollywood Studios!  The Disney After Hours events are a fantastic way to explore the parks after dark.  Don't forget that even though the party doesn't officially start until 9:30 PM, you can enter as early as 7:00 PM to make the most out of your evening!  Whether you are heading back to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel at the end of the After Hours event or from a late reservation at Oga's Cantina, you'll find that Disney's complimentary resort transportation generally runs about an hour after the parks close.  In the past, I've stayed until the very end of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and had no problem catching a bus back to my resort without any need to rush my exit.

During your stay at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, I have to recommend that you stop by Scat Cat's Club - Café to try some of their famous Mickey-shaped beignets!  It's the perfect treat before or after you head down the Bayou on Tiana's Bayou Adventure which officially opens at Magic Kingdom Park later this week.  If you're hoping to enjoy this toe-tapping, splash-tastic ride, you'll want to note that a standby queue will not be initially available.  Instead, you can try to grab a spot in the Virtual Queue at either 7:00 AM or 1:00 PM.  Additionally, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will have Lightning Lane entry available as part of Disney Genie+.  If you choose to purchase this service, I'd encourage you to be ready to make that first selection right at 7:00 AM as I'm guessing this newest attraction will be a popular choice.

Nick, I hope this information is helpful as you get ready to enjoy your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop by and see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
