Hey there, Teresa, and welcome to planDisney!
Wailulu Bar and Grill is a real hidden gem. If I could only eat their fish of the day with that green curry sauce, I'd probably be the happiest person you know. While watching
Happily Ever After during dinner there started as a happy accident, it's now become a staple of my visits.
If you wanted to make it from
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to
Disney's Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter, you could have time to catch the water taxi that docks near the back of the resort and makes its way back to Magic Kingdom. You can then catch a bus back to your own resort.
While that is a viable option for traveling between locations, between you and me, I think trying to make it back to Magic Kingdom in the post-Happily Ever After rush, while possible, sounds a bit stressful. What I'd recommend doing after your delicious meal at Wailulu Bar and Grill is actually splurge a bit for a rideshare. In my experience, the prices have been pretty reasonable when moving between locations within that Disney bubble. You then wouldn't have to struggle with all of the crowds exiting the park. You'd be able to take a straight ride from the island vibes directly to your dreams that will quite literally come true while sleeping in New Orleans.
Teresa, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat!
Happy planning!
Taylor
