I am planning on visiting Magic Kingdom for one day in October or November. I do not want to go on the days where it is a Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween party or Mickeys very Merry Christmas party. What days do these events typically not occur?

Hi there, Sarah! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

I love visiting Walt Disney during the Halloween and Christmas holiday seasons. The special decor and snacks are always a lot of fun, but since the Magic Kingdom often closes earlier on days with special ticketed events, I can understand why you might want to avoid these times if you only have one day to visit.

So let’s see what we can find out to help you get a full day of magic!

The 2025 dates for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party have yet to be announced. Recent history suggests that Halloween party dates will be announced around April and Christmas party dates will likely be shared in June (dates subject to change). I’d keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates.

While we don’t know this year's dates quite yet, we can look at the schedule from 2024 and 2023 for an idea of what might happen. While not every week was exactly the same, it looks like Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was consistently not held on Wednesdays or Saturdays in the month of October. Similarly, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party was not scheduled for most Wednesdays and Saturdays in November 2023 or 2024. This may not continue for 2025, but hopefully you can use this information to begin formulating a plan for your visit.

If you decide to visit the Magic Kingdom during the winter holiday season, I’d highly recommend checking out the Jingle Cruise. The Jungle Navigation Company has been taking guests on this holly jolly version of the Jungle Cruise for the past few years, and the festive puns have people laughing for Niles and Niles and Niles…

Best of luck with your trip planning, Sarah! If you have any other questions or need recommendations for your Disney day trip, pop right back to planDisney and ask away!

    Magical travels!
