I loved going to Disneyland and been twice. Now we are wanting to venture to Disneyworld. However, I was wondering is there dates that you recommend that we could experience Halloween and Christmas Decors? I was thinking Oct 31-Nov 3?

    Seasons Greetings, Leonisa!

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, you’ve come to the right spot. I feel so connected to your vacation planning because I am a Disneyland turned Disney World vacationer. Don’t get me wrong, I will book a trip to either coast at any time, but my love for Disney started at Disneyland Resort. It wasn’t until I started my own family that I grew to know and love Walt Disney World. I hope you can learn to love both theme parks like I do!

The exact dates for when the Disney parks will be decorated for the holidays have yet to be announced. Usually, Magic Kingdom will be the first to be decorated for the holiday season and that usually happens the first week of November. My best recommendation would be to wait and see what the dates for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are for 2025. Once those dates have been announced, you can better understand when Magic Kingdom will be decked for the holidays. I’m wishing on every star that your plan will be a perfect fit and you’ll be able to enjoy both!

If I had to choose one, I would push my trip towards November so that you can experience the holiday season at Walt Disney World. I’m sure you are familiar with the holidays at Disneyland but there’s something special and different that Walt Disney World offers and that’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. The magic of celebrating the holidays in an after-hours evening celebration is truly magical. I experienced my first party in 2019 and I am ready to take my Mouseketeers to their first one now that they are older and can probably stay up later too. Plus, you’ll be able to also experience EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays and see how the holidays are celebrated all around the world. My favorite part about this festival is the cookie stroll! That’s where you can purchase and try different cookies from different countries using your festival passport as your guide. My family didn’t complete ours but the ones we did enjoy were delicious!

I hope this helps guide your planning so that you can select the dates you want to visit. Since it will be your first visit please ask away! We all at planDisney have so many tips and must-dos to share with you, Leonisa! So please don't hesitate to ask.

    ‘Tis the Season,

    Shantel
