Hello! I am planning to visit Disneyland in November 2024. If I get a vacation package through Disney with hotel and tickets, how do I make sure I purchase the correct ticket tier since some have blackout dates? Are park reservations required still?

    Hi there Amanda,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question. I'm thrilled to hear you're planning your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Currently, to visit the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid theme park tickets and a theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. As for ticket tiers, these only apply to 1-day tickets - multi-day tickets do not follow the same tier system. If you're planning on visiting for just one day then you can check the 1-day Ticket Tier FAQ to see the blockout dates and get an idea of which ticket tier you'll need.

When booking a Vacation Package directly through the Disneyland website, you should be covered both in making sure you receive the correct ticket tier (if using 1-day tickets) and that your park reservations are booked! It will take care of these details for you as part of the purchase process when you input the dates and other details of your trip.

When it comes to hotels of the Disneyland Resort, all three are incredible, but my favorite is the classic - the Disneyland Hotel. I love the original magic feel of the hotel, the Coffee House is a convenient place to grab a quick breakfast and head into the parks, and it's conveniently located next to the Downtown Disney District Monorail stop.

Thanks again for your question, Amanda! I hope you have a wonderful time visiting the Disneyland Resort later this year.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
