Hey there Thorleif,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question. I'm thrilled to hear you're headed to the Disneyland Resort during your upcoming trip! Is this your first time visiting the Happiest Place on Earth? Make sure to watch some episodes of the planDisney podcast for tips for your visit from my panelist pals! I'm linking one of my favorites to this answer.
As for planning your trip, currently, to visit one of the parks of the Disneyland Resort, you need both valid
theme park tickets and a
theme park reservation for each day you plan to visit. Typically, I recommend people purchase these directly through the
Disneyland Resort website, but I have heard from some International Guests that there are some countries with local rules and regulations that prevent that direct purchase and instead, those Guests need to go through a local travel agent.
However you do it, as long as you have your theme park ticket purchased and have made your theme park reservations for each day you plan to visit, then you're all set! Additionally, you may want to consider adding on the
Park Hopper option to your ticket, which lets you hop between the two parks of the Disneyland Resort starting at 11:00 AM each day. This provides quite a bit of flexibility for your visit since the parks are a short walk across an esplanade from each other.
I'd also recommend considering the
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, which allows you to access the shorter Lightning Lane queues during your visit. With this option, you can save time in line by booking the next available return window to ride on select attractions throughout your trip.
Thanks again for your question, Thorleif! I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
