We are planning to visit Disney next year with an autistic child from the UK. Can I still apply for the DAS pass at guest relations on arrival? Thanks

    Hey there, Lisa!

I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney, and I’m glad you stopped by with your question! It’s never too early to start planning a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and it sounds like you’re already getting a jump-start on your fall vacation next year. I always think it’s fun to have a Disney trip on the calendar and start dreaming about all the magic that’s waiting for you!

As you know, Walt Disney World works hard to make the magic accessible and welcoming for Guests of all abilities. When it comes to registering for Disability Access Service (DAS), there are a few important things to know about the current process.

At this time, DAS registration is no longer available in person at Guest Relations. Since you’ll be traveling from the UK, you’ll need to wait until you arrive in the United States before beginning the registration process. Once you’re here, you can complete the process through a live video chat with a Cast Member right from your My Disney Experience app.

To get started, open the app and tap the three horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom-right corner. From there, select “Accessibility & Health Services.” Scroll down until you see “Disability Access Service” and tap “Learn More.” You’ll then be taken to a page where you can select “Speak with a Cast Member” to begin the registration process.

One important reminder: the Guest who will be using DAS must be present for the video call, as they’ll need to participate in the registration conversation with the Cast Member.

Lisa, I hope this helps as you continue planning and getting excited for your trip! And if any other questions come up along the way, don’t hesitate to stop back by planDisney.

    Magic Awaits,
