Hi Daniel,
It's just FUN to think about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, isn't it? Even if it's a year away, having something to look forward to can put a smile on your face just dreaming about walking down Main Street, U.S.A., soaring on the back of a flying elephant, or enjoying your favorite Mickey-shaped snack. Plus, the earlier you start planning, the more time you have to put together the perfect itinerary! That's a win-win in my book!
I'd recommend purchasing your tickets and making your plans as soon as you're reasonably sure you'll be visiting!
Vacation packages and
theme park tickets are available for purchase now for next spring, so it's possible to make your plans at any point. The key to making sure you're able to visit the parks on your desired schedule is to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as your theme park tickets are purchased and
linked to your My Disney Experience account. If you check the
availability calendar, you'll see that options are pretty wide open if you look at least three months out, but you'll also see that some options are unavailable around the kickoff of
Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary celebration this fall. With your trip planned during spring break, the earlier you can make your plans, the better. If you're worried about your plans possibly changing between now and then, it's important to note that while theme park tickets are not refundable, it is possible to
modify your dates if something comes up and you need to make changes to your plans.
I'm sending pixie dust that your itinerary comes together perfectly, Daniel, and this time next year, you and your fellow Mouseketeers will be practically giddy with excitement and anticipation. Please don't hesitate to come back and see us again at planDisney any time you have a Disney-planning question or would like advice regarding your trip. I hope you have a truly magical vacation next
spring!
Missy
