Hello! I was planning my upcoming trip, and I was able to get an 8:15am reservation for Oga’s Cantina. The park opens at 8, but we have someone in a wheelchair chair so I don’t think we will get from rope drop to the back of the park in time. Suggestions?

Bright suns, Christina. Thanks for making your way to planDisney to share this question with us. It looks like your visit to the Disneyland Resort will be here soon and I'm delighted to help you prepare.

I'm so happy to hear that you are planning to make a trip to the planet of Batuu during your visit. Fueling up at Oga's Cantina with a drink and some conversation with the local chemists is a great way to start your day. I'm glad to hear that you were able to secure a reservation for the occasion.

I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who shared that there should be no problem if you are running a few minutes late for your reservation. There's no need to jump to light speed. The walk from the main park entrance should take about 10-15 minutes. I recommend walking through Fantasyland and making a left at the Red Rose Taverne and taking the first right from the path to the entrance of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You'll be "on planet" in no time.

I hope you take some time after your visit to the cantina to explore the Black Spire Outpost. You never know what characters you might encounter. In fact, after you leave the cantina take a few paces away to view the entrance from a distance to see a hidden quacky character (hint: it's a larger-than-life hidden Donald Duck). And if you happen to be back in Batuu in the evening, for a unique view of the fireworks, I recommend checking out Fire of the Rising Moons as part of the Season of the Force. I checked the Entertainment Schedule and see that this experience is scheduled for the evening of your visit (subject to cancellation).

Christina, I hope this helps as you are getting ready for your galactic adventure. Here's wishing you a most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.

    May the spires keep you,
    Michelle
