Welcome to planDisney, Sarah!
Planning that first family trip to
Walt Disney World is such an exciting experience. I am so glad that you brought us this question regarding tattoos and clothing!
Sarah, you'll be pleased to know that there is an easy to follow list of
Walt Disney World Guest Courtesy and Attire Policies. There, you'll see that "Visible tattoos that could be considered inappropriate, such as those containing objectionable language or designs, are not permitted." To help clarify that, I found the answer to a Frequently Asked Question regarding
how to dress in the parks. This points out that the parks are a "family-oriented environment" and guests are to use their discretion in keeping the parks "family-friendly." Inappropriate attire "includes but is not limited to" "Objectionable tattoos." The key phrase here is the focus on family-friendly.
Back to your question about tobacco products or alcohol on clothing: as long as the logos and images are family-friendly, you should be just fine. While touring the parks, I've seen many folks with favorite brands of beverages on their T-shirts or a group wearing custom-made shirts with drinks on them in celebration of a special birthday. Again, as long as these images adhere to the spirit of a family-oriented environment, they are permitted.
Sarah, as you plan your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
